If you're old enough to remember the Iran-Contra Affair, this book will either seem incredible or a validation of what you suspected. In either case, it almost pales in comparison to Nixon's sabotoge of the Viet Nam peace agreement so he could get elected and carry on the war for two more bloody years.
Now the most essential part of it all, getting the majority of American voters to care enough to question what they see and hear on television and question the history of facts they never knew beforehand and find the truth burried by years of deceit and purposeful mistatements.How can we ever succeed when the majority of American voters with as much independent thoughts as are cows stabled and domesticated in comparison to a maverick on the range.In this country each independent thinker must be a lone maverick. With some of the best books I've read I've suggested to others. There are few of these others who actually took up the torch as well.There is no such notion as blissful ignorance, except that it keeps us from realizing; it was our individual ignorance that opens the way for the wrong type of politicians to be in Congress. When we enforce term limits and dissallow the lobbyists access to lawmakers to do their bidding, perhaps there will be more room for the right type of Congressman, the type we need not what we are getting instead.As an excellent example of a source to understand how enevitable the economic collapse was in 2008 and which Congressman proved beyond doubt they were in the back pocket of the profiteer, take a look at a book by Naomi Prins, "It takes a Pillage."
