This book says it is for 4-8 year-olds but I would not think the average 4-6 year old would understand it. Disappointed since I bought this to include as a gift for my grandchildren this Eastet. Pictures are good, but I think the story is too detailed for this age group I bought it for. Wish that would have been made clear in the description.
We already had The Story for Little Ones and loved the format and clear lessons in it. This book expands on the story of Christ's death and resurrection in a way that my 4 year old could understand.
Perfect for the kids! It illustrates Jesus’s sacrifices without being too graphic for the younger children. Read this to my 4 year old and he was so intrigued.
I love Max Lucado and I'm glad there is a book about the real Easter story, however, it's a little "wordy" for small children. My son is 4 and I'm not sure how much he would grasp of the long paragraphs, but I will keep it for future years.
